Environmental Sensitivity Index maps

We will begin to examine estuarine systems very soon. In the meantime, please post a blog on ESI (Environmental Sensitivity Index) Maps. Post an example of an ESI map for the marine zone of your choice. I will focus in class on ESI maps in the Gulf of Mexico as they relate to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Event.

Glaciers and Icebergs (please post by October 22, 2010)

Please post to your blog: Aerial image of the north AND south polar ice caps, an iceberg picture, an iceberg video clip, and a seasonal comparison of the extent of ice "advance" southward into the Atlantic Ocean in the winter and its retreat in the summer. The text that you include in this blog is up to you, mainly want you to take some time to make some observations about the "ice phase" of the world hydrologic cycle.
